Lymphing It Up!
As we grow older and wiser, we tend to slow down. To maintain vitality and live a healthy lifestyle it is important to keep ourselves moving.
When we slow down our lymphatic system also slows down. When the lymphatic system slows down we might experience weight gain, joint pain, dry, flakey skin, edema, recurring infections or an overall feeling of heaviness.
But the situation is not as bad as it might seem.
It is very easy to help our lymphatics to do their job better. A few minutes a day of lymphatic brushing or lymphatic massaging is all that it takes to recreate our 20 year old energy level and still maintain the wisdom of our 45+ year old selves.
I think that is a pretty fair trade. Instead of rushing to get dressed while getting my kids ready for school, I have time instead to take a few more minutes in the morning for myself. After I shower I do a 5 minute lymphatic massage and pump out and drain the main lymphatic points.
I have an especially slow lymphatic system so I tend to also pump the key points throughout the day, and I also do an extreme exhale from my lower diaphragm which also helps to move things up and out.

I like to do the massage to music. I turn on some fun dance music and just let it all go. You will discover that starting your day this way makes a huge difference.
Instructions:
From the center of the face, I gently massage outward toward the ears.
I pay especial attention to below the eyes and to the eyelids, where excess fluid tends to collect.
Then, from behind the ears, I move downwards to the area above the collarbone. As if I’m mimicking my heart beat, I help pump the excess out and down.
Next, I massage my armpits, followed by the area above my belly button.
The groin comes next, and then behind the knees.
I like to repeat each movement 12 times.
As a rule, the direction of the flow should be towards the heart.
After completing the massage, it is a good idea to shake everything out.
